About me
Throughout my career, I have maintained a consistent objective: to secure educational experiences that bring together strong instruction and technological innovation, particularly within economically restricted areas and communities. This mission reflects my lifelong commitment to educational equity and my belief in using technology to expand learning opportunities for all students.I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from Fayetteville State University, which provided the foundation for my work in educational innovation. I went on to earn advanced degrees in Teaching and Learning with Technology and Emerging Technologies, where my research focused on the factors that lead to teacher adoption of technology through the lens of the Concern Based Adoption Model (CBAM) and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This research continues to shape the way I design professional development and implement new instructional tools.With over three decades in education, I have had the privilege of bridging traditional teaching methods with emerging technologies. My journey from classroom teacher to district-level technology coordinator reflects both my adaptability and my forward-thinking approach to educational challenges. Most recently, I published my book, GET YOUR GROOVE BACK!: THE DOPE WAY TO WIN WITH GENERATIVE AI IN THE CLASSROOM, which captures my passion for equipping educators with practical strategies to harness artificial intelligence in ways that inspire both teaching and learning.My certifications in artificial intelligence and continued exploration of cutting-edge tools demonstrate my commitment to staying at the forefront of educational technology. My goal remains the same: to ensure that students in economically disadvantaged communities are not left behind, but instead have access to innovative and meaningful learning experiences.
