Julie C. Carson is an experienced Technology Facilitator and Instructional Leader with 28 years in public education. Her career reflects a deep commitment to helping educators and students thrive in a digital age by blending technology integration with strong instructional practices.Julie earned her B.A. in Elementary Education (English Concentration) from Christopher Newport University and her M.A. in Instructional Technology from East Carolina University. She also holds multiple North Carolina teaching licenses‚ including K‚Äì6, Language Arts 6‚Äì9, and Birth‚ÄìK‚ along with endorsements as an Instructional Technology Specialist and in Computer Education.Over the course of her career, Julie has served as an elementary teacher, technology facilitator, and now as a Digital Teaching & Learning Coordinator for Harnett County Schools. In this role, she leads district-wide initiatives for technology integration, professional development, and CIPA compliance while supporting teachers in co-teaching, digital citizenship, and project-based learning. Her leadership has included developing technology plans, creating pacing guides, and serving on School Improvement Teams and media/tech committees.A strong collaborator and advocate for meaningful, tech-driven instruction, Julie continues to grow her own expertise through professional development with organizations such as the NC Digital Leadership Coaching Network and ISTE. She has also expanded her knowledge in emerging tools and platforms, including AI for Teachers, Canva, Edpuzzle, Google Classroom, and Curipod.Julie's career demonstrates her unwavering dedication to empowering both educators and students, ensuring that technology is not just a tool but a pathway to deeper learning and engagement.
