HCS Teacher Summit For Grades K-5

Best practices in Early Literacy focusing on the importance of read alouds during our instructional day. This session will highlight the setup and structure of a classroom library, review the importance of a wide variety of book genres, when to include read alouds during the day and extension activities that can be completed for hands on learning experiences that will "bring books to life" for our young students as well as how to get families involved with a "mystery reader" program.
